In 2005, with its aim to help in addressing the rampant need to house more than 4 million homeless Filipinos, especially those who were hit by super typhoon, VAZBUILT has launched a program focusing on its socialized housing concern.
It has collaborated with Gawad Kalinga 777, together with the support of local government units and community organizations, in providing decent and structurally sound houses, in a well-planned community for the impoverished families currently living in improvised dwellings made up of scrap woods and cartons, which have mushroomed along irrigation canals, river dikes and around the market place, creating slum areas, exposing their families to danger.
