Stunning Dumaguete – VAZBUILT Inang Bayan Travel Series Cebu Pacific flew the Vazquez Group’s Marketing Director Lillibeth V.Legasto, Sales Manager Elsie Miranda and Head designer Arch. Ferdie Patawaran to the charming city of Dumaguete last July 20,2007. To the delight of the passengers, the flight was smooth and it arrived 15 minutes before schedule.
Engr. Stanley Tinio, A-1 Dealer of the Vazquez Group (VAZBUILT, Vazquez Commodities) gathered a group of 70 guests composed of engineers from PICE, architects, major contractors, and hardware owners to attend the special product presentation on the different product lines of the Vazquez Group: Tegula roof tiles, Vazpavers, Vazcrete fences and VAZBUILT prefabricated homes. The venue was set in a most scenic and strategic location by the main baywalk boulevard of Dumaguete, the Bethel Hotel. The hotel is spacious, impeccably clean, and the staff hospitable and very friendly. A delicious, generous serving of viands filled the tummies of the guest and the rich and serious exchange of product information filled their minds with new construction trends that can be applied in their growing town.
After a hard days work, the next day, Engr. Stanley treated the us to an unforgettable touristic adventure. First stop was a trip to the Casaroro Falls. To health buffs and physically fit nature-loving enthusiast, the long, winding up and down trek was worth it! We lost 5 lbs.! Clean, pure oxygen will feel your healthy lungs, an assortment of rainbow-colored butterflies will make you glee like a little child chasing them towards the majestic falls. The larger than life falls will make you marvel at God’s wonderful creation. The gentle breeze will blow a spray of the cold water coming from the falls to refresh your tired body from that long walk. The tiring adventure made the group build up a giant’s appetite! Next stop was Jo’s Chicken. The grilled chicken is one of the best we have ever tasted in the country, the banana flower dish soaked in native vinegar, onions, ginger and fresh coconut cream gata was a winner! Nami ka ayo! We gained 5 lbs. back! The restaurant’s local architecture was so creatively designed. The benches and tables were a semblance of colorful Vintas. The huts were chicken dish again.
An entirely different adventure was waiting for us at the Balingsasayao Twin Lakes perched on a thickly, forested mountain. A shorter winding trek this time led us to a crystal clear lake. The friendly boatman rowed us around the wide, emerald shimmering lake. We admired God’s work of art! In quiet awe we listened to the symphony of a variety of birds singing pleasant melodies. Bright blue and green feathered birds flew leisurely, entertaining us to our heart’s desire. As we docked by the edge of the first lake, slowly we made our way through the trees up the mountain to view the 2nd lake at the other side of the mountain. Another unexpected but welcome treat to feast our eyes! Nindot ka ayo! The trip to Dumaguete turned out to be both a fulfilling business and touristic trip. We encourage our kababayans to discover our beautiful country, filled with business opportunities as well as awesome, natural tourist spots and friendly, hospitable people!
